Psalms 48:1-2 says *“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.”*
In the above psalm, king David was extoling our great and awesome God. Indeed, God is greatly to be praised because He is excellent in greatness and His power is unsearchable (Ps. 145:3). As an unchangeable God, He is beautiful for every situation. He is the God of the good times and He still remains God in bad times. Therefore, He is God of all times, whether in the valley or on the mountain top. No situation takes Him unaware and no phenomenon changes Him. At all times and in every situation, He remains God. His love, mercy and kindness are unending and His faithfulness never fails. No matter what you are going through today, the Omniscient God knows about it and He is working things out for your good. Even in your toughest moments, He has promised neither to leave nor forsake you (Heb. 13:5). He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. He will always be with you in whatever situation you may be passing through (Isa. 43:2). What a blessed assurance! You are not alone; your heavenly Father is with you all the time. Jesus Christ healed the man at the pool of Bethesda, regardless of his hopelessness and helplessness. He has not changed, He is still in the business of healing the sick and liberating the oppressed. Beloved, I assure you that your case has an expiry date, and it will soon be over in Jesus name. God sometimes allows us to face certain challenges to make us stronger in faith and develop spiritual tenacity. Therefore, be rest assured that He has a good and perfect plan for you. His thoughts and plans for you are of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jer. 29:11). Whatever you are going through will not change God’s good plan for you. These precious promises of our great God should give you a strong confidence in Him. You do not need to have everything figured out. Stop trying to solve a puzzle that only God can fix; leave it to Him. Rather, fix your gaze on the Omnipotent and trust in His faithfulness to perfect His plans for you. You are precious to God, and He will not allow you to go through any situation that is beyond what you can bear. God is faithful, and He will make a way for you where there seems to be no way. Instead of murmuring or complaining about your situation, praise God with all your heart at all times.
